About
The research centre ITENE, located in Valencia (Spain), offers cutting-edge knowledge to transform the present and build a safer, more sustainable and digital future in four main areas:
- Circular economy
- Efficient and safe packaging
- Safety, health and environmental monitoring
- Logistics and smart mobility
ITENE has a highly specialised team of more than 160 people, of which more than 16% have a PhD in their speciality.
Through its intense participation in European, national and regional projects, ITENE takes part in numerous initiatives that allow transferring knowledge to the business sector with an integral vision of the whole value chain. ITENE also collaborates with a wide network of entities, such as business associations, institutions, research centres and universities.
Founded in 1994, the centre is based in the Paterna Technology Park (Valencia, Spain), where it has 7,150 square metres of facilities, half of which are dedicated to laboratories and pilot plants.
